BOARDING

A familiar place to stay when you can’t take them with you.

Boarding is available exclusively to Klug K9 Training clients who need a safe, familiar place for their dog to stay while they’re away, hosting an event, having work done at home or simply need temporary care.

Because this service is reserved for existing training clients, I already know your dog, their training and many of the routines and expectations they’re accustomed to.

YOUR DOG’S STAY

Comfortable care that feels familiar.

Boarding dogs stay with me in my home and have plenty of opportunities throughout the day to rest, play, spend time outside and simply be a dog. Each dog’s routine is based on their individual needs, personality and what helps them fee comfortable while they’re here.

A space of their own

Every boarding dog sleeps inside my home in their own assigned crate for the duration of their stay. Crates are not shared between dogs during their stay.

Time to move & play

Dogs have access to fully enclosed outdoor dog runs as well as supervised play and exercise in my fenced backyard. Their stay includes plenty of opportunities to move, play, relax and enjoy some downtime.

Social time when appropriate

When compatible dogs are staying at the same time, they may have opportunities to play and spend time together with permission from both families. Social time is always based on individual dog’s personality, comfort level and compatibility with the other dog.

Keep the progress you’ve made

One of the benefits of boarding with your dog’s trainer is knowing their training doesn’t go out the window while you’re away. Boarding does not include structured training sessions or the introduction of new skills, but the boundaries, rules, expectations, manners and skills your dog already knows are maintained throughout their stay.

BEFORE THEIR STAY

A few things to pack-and a few you can leave at home.

What I provide

Your dog will have their own assigned crate, food and water bowls, toys and chewies available throughout their stay. Crates and bowls are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between dogs.

What you bring

Please bring enough of your dog’s regular food for their entire stay, along with their training collar and leash. Raw-fed dogs should have their meals portioned and packaged individually.

You’re also welcome to bring your dog’s crate bedding and favorite toy, bond or chewie if you’d like them to have something familiar from home.
