PRIVATE TRAINING
One-on-one training built around you and your dog.
Private training gives us the opportunity to focus on the skills, challenges and goals that matter most to you and your dog. Whether you’re building everyday manners, working through a specific training challenge or addressing more serious behavioral concerns, your training plan is tailored to where you are now and where you want to go.
Individualized training
Your sessions are built around your dog’s current skills, your training goals and the challenges you’re experiencing-not a predetermined class curriculum.
WHY PRIVATE TRAINING?
Training built around the dog in front of us.
No two dogs, owners or training goals are exactly alike. Private Training gives us the flexibility to work at a pace that makes sense for you and your dog, focus our time where it’s needed most and adjust the training as you progress.
You’ll work directly with me throughout the process, learning not only what to do, but how and when to do it so you can continue building those skills between sessions.
Hands-on coaching
You’ll do your training alongside me with real-time instruction, demonstrations and feedback so you can build your own handling skills and feel more confident working with your dog.
Room to adjust
As you and your dog progress, your training can progress with you. We can adjust the focus, increase challenges, troubleshoot problems and build on your skills without being tied to a one-size-fits-all plan.
PRIVATE TRAINING OPTIONS
Different goals require different approaches.
Private Training is available for everything from everyday obedience and manners to more complex behavioral concerns. The type of training we’ll start with depends on your dog’s needs, your goals and the behaviors you’re currently navigating.

Severe fear or anxiety
Other significant safety or behavioral concerns
Not sure which type of Private Training your dog needs? That’s okay-you don’t need to figure that out on your own. After learning more about your dog, your goals and the concerns you’re experiencing, I’ll help determine the most appropriate place to start.
Start with a Meet & Greet
Private Training starts with a 60 minute Meet & Greet Consultation. This gives us time to talk through your dog’s training history, your goals and the challenges you’re experiencing while giving me an opportunity to learn more about you and your dog.
We’ll also discuss my training approach, expectations and what moving forward with Private Training may look like for you.
HOW PRIVATE TRAINING WORKS
We start by figuring out where you are.
Build the skills
After your Meet & Greet, we’ll move into hands-on training sessions based on your dog’s needs and your goals. You’ll work directly with your dog while I demonstrate techniques, coach your handling and timing, and help you troubleshoot along the way.
You’ll also have clear skills and exercises to work on between sessions so we can continue building your progress each time we meet.
Behavior Modification starts differently
Behavior Modification begins with an In-Home Behavioral Evaluation rather than a standard Meet & Greet. This gives me the opportunity to evaluate your dog’s behavior in their home environment, discuss safety and management, and determine the most appropriate path forward.
If we move forward with Private Training, hands-on sessions will primarily take place at my training location, with additional in-home sessions scheduled when needed to evaluate progress or address concerns specific to the home environment.
