Beginner Obedience 2.0 is designed for teams who have completed Beginner Obedience but aren’t quite ready to move into Intermediate. This class bridges the gap by continuing to build and strengthen the foundation skills you already know.

Advanced Obedience 2.0 is for teams who have completed Advanced Obedience and are ready to push their training even further. This class places a greater emphasis on off-leash work and maintaining reliable obedience around highly challenging distractions.

Off-leash obedience
Off-leash handler focus
Out-of-sight stays
Advanced off-leash recalls
Longer and more challenging stays
Working at great distances from the handler
Maintaining obedience around high-level distractions

PUPPY CLASS
Start building good habits early.
Puppy Class gives young dogs and their handlers a strong start through age-appropriate training, confidence building and early exposure to the skills they’ll need as they grow.

Puppy Class combines foundation training with intentional environmental exposure. Along with learning early obedience skills, puppies are introduced to new surfaces, obstacles, objects, sounds and experiences designed to build confidence and help them learn how to navigate the world around them.

Environmental exposureAge Requirement: Puppies may begin after receiving their second round of puppy vaccinations and must be under 6 months old at the start of class.

SPECIALTY CLASSES
Take your training in a new direction.
Specialty Classes give you and your dog the opportunity to explore specific training goals, activities and challenges beyond our traditional obedience classes. These classes rotate throughout the year and are offered based on interest and demand.

E-Collar/Off-Leash teaches handlers how to use an e-collar correctly and responsibly while building toward greater reliability and off-leash control.
What we’ll work on:
Understanding proper e-collar use
Finding your dog’s individual baseline number
Pairing the e-collar with known obedience skills
Progressing toward off-leash recalls, stays and heelingProgress varies by dog and handler. Completion of this class does not guarantee that every dog will be ready for fully off-leash work by the end of the six weeks.

Trick Dog is a fun, hands-on class that teaches you different ways to teach new behaviors while building communication, creativity and teamwork with your dog. We’ll use a variety of tricks to practice the training process-not just focus on completing a specific list.

Chaining behaviors
Targeting & body awareness
A variety of fun tricks and behaviorsTricks may include: spins, bow, crawl, roll over, shake, sit pretty, leg weaves, play dead, fetch, toy clean-up and more.

Rally For Fun uses AKC-style Rally signs and exercises to give you and your dog a fun new way to train together. We’ll explore skills ranging from beginner through advanced while working through stations, courses and the occasional friendly course competition.

Working through individual skill stations
Navigating Rally courses

Sport/Working Dog combines practical obedience with foundational skills commonly used in dog sports and working-dog training. It’s an opportunity to build stronger communication, engagement and drive while introducing your dog to new challenges.

Tracking introduces dogs and handlers to tracking methods influenced by Schutzhund/IGP-style tracking. Dogs begin with food-supported tracks and gradually work toward following the track with less reliance on food as their understanding develops.
What we’ll work on:
Introducing the track using trench or circle tracks
Track laying techniques
Line handling
Learning to read your dog and recognize the difference between when they are on the track and when they aren’t
Gradually reducing food on the track

Adding articles to the track
Building independent tracking skillsThis is a recreational tracking class and is not designed as trial preparation.

K9 Fitness focuses on correct technique, form and quality of movement-not how quickly your dog can complete an exercise. You’ll learn exercises designed to improve strength, mobility and flexibility while building routines you can use to help prepare your dog for physical activity.

Building a warm-up & cool-down routine
Stretching & flexibility
Cavaletti exercises
Mobility & range of motion
Strengthening smaller supporting muscles
Body awareness & controlled movement
Proper exercise technique & formThe goal is to build strength, mobility and flexibility that can help reduce the risk of muscle and ligament injuries during everyday activities, structured training and more physically demanding exercise.

Reactive Dog is designed for dogs who struggle to remain calm and focused around common triggers (other dogs and/or people).

Muzzle conditioningImportant: This class is for reactive dogs, not dogs with true aggression towards dogs or people. Any bite history must be disclosed before registration so we can determine a safe and appropriate training option.

BEFORE YOU REGISTER
A few things to know before class.

Required Vaccinations:
Rabies
Distemper
ParvovirusBordetella and canine influenza are strongly encouraged.
Proof of current vaccination is required before participating in class.

Please Bring:
Your dog on a secure leash & collar that can’t be slipped out of.
Plenty of small, high-value food reward.
A treat pouch.
Water for your dog if needed.For classes that require additional equipment, such as an e-collar, muzzle or specialty training equipment, you’ll receive those instructions before class.

Class location and arrival details will be emailed to registered participants shortly before the start of class.

General Class Policies:
Dogs must remain on leash unless instructed otherwise.
Please maintain appropriate space between dogs and do not allow on leash greetings.
Females in heat may attend class.
Intact males are welcome.
Children must remain under the supervision of an adult.
Please arrive with enough time to have your dog ready when class begins.
